OK, we don't have regular balloon service to the Island, but we do have just about everything else!

From Vancouver by car drive north to BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, or drive south to Tsawwassen ferry terminal with Nanaimo as your destination. Consider making reservations for the ferry during high season, and long weekends throughout the year. Once in Nanaimo, drive to the Gabriola ferry terminal (approximately 10 minute drive). When leaving the Island by BC Ferries, you can find the current ferry schedule and live information regarding the ferry line-ups on Taylor Bay Road at Gabriola Island Ferry Cam.

From Vancouver on foot take the West Vancouver Express bus to BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal departing to Departure Bay, Nanaimo. See the TransLink service for more details. In Nanaimo, taxi to the Gabriola ferry terminal (approximately a ten-minute taxi ride). Greyhound offers their bus service from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo, then taxi to the Gabriola terminal.

From Vancouver International Airport fly to the Nanaimo Airport on Air Canada or BCWest Air and taxi to the Gabriola ferry terminal. Taxi ride is approximately 30 minute drive. Or, fly from the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport on Tofino Air, a float plane which brings you right into Silva Bay, Gabriola Island.

From Vancouver Harbour to Nanaimo Harbour fly on West Coast Air, a float plane which brings you into Nanaimo Harbour. Walk or take the taxi to the Gabriola ferry terminal. (10 minute walk)
